Obituary for Timothy Brian Ward

Timothy B. Ward, 63 of Bridgeton, passed away unexpectedly Weds. March 13, 2019 at his home. Born and raised in Metuchen, he then raised his family in Fords and then lived in Bayville for many years before moving to Bridgeton in 2003.
Tim was employed as a service technician for many years fixing copiers and fax machines. As a younger man he was a volunteer for the Fords Fire Co. and helped run and coach pop warner football and basketball programs. He was an avid fisherman, guitar player and all around musician. He was the founding member of the “Crazy Pirate Crew” on the Big Jamaica party boat out of Brielle that made annual bluefish trips for the past 30+ years. YAAAARRRRRR!
He was predeceased by his father John “Mickey” Ward, his stepfather Kenneth Ward and his brother Michael.
Surviving is his devoted son Ryan Ward and wife Angela, his 3 beloved grandchildren Ryan Jr., Christina and Shane, his former wife Nancy Ward, mother Ellen (née Brennan) Ward, and his siblings Maryellen Musgrove, Barbara Ann Ward, Francis Ward and Kathleen B. Tihanich.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 4:00pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes everyone to listen to classic rock and roll and blues music and go out and catch a keeper fish for Tim.
