Obituary for Sarah Jane "Sally" Fisher (Choate)

Sarah Jane “Sally” (nee Choate) Fisher passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018 at her home in Colts Neck with her husband and son at her bedside.
Sally, as she was known to all who knew and loved her, had a wonderful joy of life that was infectious to those around her. A friend, wife, grandmother, and mother, she left an indelible mark on her family and friends with her kindness, strength and love.
She was born at Patterson Army Hospital, Fort Monmouth to the late LeLand and Helen (nee Sheridan) Choate. She was raised in Fort Monmouth and had resided in Ocean Twp. for many years before moving to Colts Neck over 30 years ago.
Sally spent her entire career in the Oncology Department at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch where she took pride in helping patients and their families during a difficult period in their lives. A passionate bridge player, she was a member of the Jersey Shore Bridge Club, Colts Neck Senior Citizen Club and St. Mary’s Parish, Colts Neck. Sally loved to travel and was an animal lover.
Surviving to mourn this tremendous loss is her husband John Fisher, her children Raymond Brown and wife Michelle of New York, NY, Steven M. Brown of New York, NY, and Robin Danscuk and husband Thomas of Howell, her 4 cherished grandsons, Jarod Danscuk, Alex, Marcus and Lucas Brown, and her sister Mary Lou Fornicola and husband Paul of Wall Twp. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm followed by a Funeral Service on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00am at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. Interment in Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport.
