Obituary for Paul L. Runyon

Paul L. Runyon, 79, of Greenbriar Woodlands, Toms River, and formerly of Spring Lake Heights, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019, at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
Born in Neptune, he was raised in Wall before moving to Spring Lake Heights. He was a graduate of Manasquan High School and had been employed as the Head Custodian at Spring Lake Heights Elementary School for many years, before retiring. Paul also served as a dispatcher for the Spring Lake Heights Police Department for many years.
An avid race fan, he spent many Saturday nights at Wall Stadium and watching NASCAR races as well.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Edwin and Flora Megill Runyon, his wife of 47 years, Linda Bryan Runyon, in 2006, and his brother Kenneth Runyon.
He is survived by his sons, Lawrence Runyon and partner Kerry Woltering of Howell, Kevin Runyon and wife Virginia of Wall and Steven Runyon of Howell, his sister Karen Doebel, his sister-in-law, Ok-Sun Runyon, and his grandchildren Meghan Young and husband Tom, Ashlee Anduaga and husband Jay, and Nick, Andy, Bryan ,and Kylie Runyon and his great-grandson, Lincoln Anduaga.
Visitation will take place at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Thursday, May 16, 2019, from 4-8 PM. The service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10 AM, followed by burial at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
