Obituary for Gary G Bush
Gary G. Bush, 46 of Belmar passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at his home in Belmar.
Gary was born in Dover, and had resided in Toms River, and then in the Shore area for many years before moving to Belmar 8 years ago.
He was a graduate of Toms River High School North and a member of the Marching Mariner’s Band as a saxophone player. He was involved in Boy Scouts, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout. Gary was an animal lover and especially loved caring for his dog, Gatsby. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed both salt and freshwater fishing in local area waters. Gary was a veteran of the US Navy.
Gary is survived by his mother Susan Scaglione of Douglaston, NY, his father Gary J. Bush of Long Valley, NJ, his sister Kim Bush of Raleigh, NC and his brother Jeremy Crawford of Redondo Beach, CA, Gary’s nieces Jordyn and Larkyn Hook-Bush, and nephews Gryphon Hook-Bush and Anthony Scaglione
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sat., September 14, 2019 at 2:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. His family will continue to receive guests following the service until 3:30pm. Private committal will be at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, Gary’s family requests donations be made to the Popcorn Park Zoo, 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731 or Jersey Shore Rescue Mission, 701 Memorial Dr., Asbury Park, NJ 07712 in memory of Gary.
