Obituary for Alice D. Murphy "Allie" Ward
Alice D. Murphy Ward, (Allie), 85 of Medford passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Samaritan Hospice, Mount Holly.
Born in New Bedford, MA, she raised her family in Wall Township for 27 years and then resided in Brick for 20 years before recently moving to Medford to live with her daughter Kelly Ann. Allie cheered on the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Notre Dame Football and Tiger Woods, fan of Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and all things Irish.
She was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Dorothy Ryan Murphy, her husband James G. Ward in 1993 and her granddaughter Tara Ward.
Surviving are her loving children; Jim of NY, NY, Patrick of Brick, Thomas and wife Susan of Wall, Sean of Brielle, Timothy and wife Christine of Point Pleasant, Kelly Ann Jalowski of Medford, and Erin Giaimo and husband Robert of Wall, her brother John Murphy and wife Deanna of Brick, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, nephews Brian and Matt Murphy and their families.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, NJ followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11:00am at the Church of St. Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Rd., Point Pleasant. Interment Brigadier Gen. William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
