Obituary for Carol Ann Valjas (Zewecke)
Carol Ann Valjas (Zewecke), 72, of Lakewood passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. She was a loving wife and mother. Carol loved animals and enjoyed singing and dancing as well as cooking for her family. She was also known to throw famous pool parties throughout her life.
Born and raised in Staten Island, she lived in Union Beach, Hazlet and Laurence Harbor before moving to Lakewood 3 years ago.
Surviving are her loving husband of 43 years, Micheal D. Valjas; son, Micheal A. Valjas and his wife, Kelly of Tinton Falls; brothers, John “Sonny” Zewecke of Wilmington, DE and Charles “Chuckie” Zewecke and his wife, Sandy of Palm Coast, FL; a niece and nephew, Melissa and Charles; and her beloved dachshund, Schnitzel.
A memorial service celebrating Carol’s life will be held Sunday, March 31st from 4-5:30pm at The Wine Bar in Atlantic Highlands, 40 First Avenue, Atlantic Highlands, NJ 07716.
